We are pleased to offer for sale a very nice example of the 1960s Rotary Aquaplunge Professional Divers watch. The watch has been serviced, is running well and is ready to wear.

The all stainless steel case is unpolished and retains its lines with nothing more than general swirlies. Measuring 36mm without the original signed crown. The bi-directional bezel has aged well with just one scratch originating near the 10 minute mark. Thankfully nobody has attempted a faux ageing process on the bezel print.

The assumed original crystal has been retained as it is in good condition. There are a couple of marks but it certainly doesn’t warrant changing.

The dial is stunning. No missing lume. No patina. No missing print. It hasn’t aged a bit!  The tritium is all original and complete. It appears that it may have undergone a preservation treatment whereby it has been over lacquered to prevent it disintegrating. The hands appear to be in the same position. The dial and hands will briefly glow after exposure to UV light.

The A Schild 1713 movement has been stripped and cleaned. The mainspring has been replaced along with a couple of other parts that were sub-par. Namely the setting lever spring which are a ticking time bomb on all watches. The movement is running great and the watch is keeping fabulous time.

The watch has been fitted with a brand new black leather rally strap with a lightly waxed exterior and contrast stitching. The tropic style holed strap is the perfect accompaniment to the watch. Naturally you can of course replace the strap with any strap that has 18mm ends.

This is one of the best preserved examples out there especially with the added bonus that you will not incur extra expense getting it serviced before you wear it.

The watch has been serviced and is therefore ready to run. The movement was manufactured for Rotary by A Schild. New Old Stock spare parts are still available for this calibre and donor movements are not hard to find as they were supplied to various watch brands of the era.
